Coaches reward athletic scholarships to players that are committed to making correct choices on and off the field. There are many influences in life for high school athletes, and needless to say those influences, whatever, or whoever, are not always healthy. The sports recruiting process is more than finding the best athletic talent. Coaches are reluctant to recruit athletes that are likely to have off the field issues. During the high school recruiting process, it is vital that you focus on becoming the best person you can off the field. When you can show coaches that you’re able to compete on the athletic field, and live true to your standards off the field, your chances of succeeding in the recruiting process increase.
Remember, life is more about what you do off the field than on. Be Unbreakable is a personal development program, designed to help you become a better, more successful individual. Being Unbreakable is about being true to yourself, your family, your religious beliefs, your personal goals and dreams. What you’re learning on the field is preparing you for what your future holds. Hard work, discipline, goals, loyalty, being a team player, are qualities that will serve you throughout your life. The important thing to remember during your athletic career is that each decision you make now matters. How you feel about yourself, what you choose to think about, and the decisions you choose to make, will determine your level of success in life. Be Unbreakable will focus on three major areas:
Identity: Who we really are. How we see ourselves. How we see others. How God see’s us.
Vision: Setting Goals, Dreaming Dreams, Creating our personal mission in life.
Becoming: Implementing our goals, tracking our progress, living our dreams, fulfilling our mission.
When we come to understand who we really are, our vision is expanded to what we can become. By making correct choices based on who we really are, and what we truly want to become, we become Unbreakable!
