CAMPS / EVENTS
Camps provide great opportunities for high school athletes to be seen in person, by coaches and recruiters. Most college programs will put on an annual camp for athletes to meet the coaches, and learn new skills first hand. We recommend attending camps, especially when coaches send you an invite to their camps. Remember, the more you can be seen by college coaches during the high school recruiting process, the better. At camps you are able to display your talents first hand to the coaches you’ve been striving to attract. By attending camps you’ll increase your opportunities for athletic scholarships. If you do not find a post for a camp from one of your chosen schools, we suggest contacting the coaching staff directly, either by phone, or by logging onto the schools athletic website. Attending multiple camps can add up cost wise. During the sports recruiting process, select schools that you are serious about playing for. If coaches have expressed serious interest in you as a recruit; place those camps and clinics on the top of your priority list for camps to attend. Camps do cost money, however the exposure you’ll receive will be worth the investment. Not only will you receive personal exposure at camps and clinics that you attend, you’ll also learn new skills that will help you improve as an athlete.
With your Steel Athlete Membership, receive special discounts to camps and clinics across the country.
